Erin Schiesel is a Member at the firm. Her practice includes appellate litigation, commercial litigation, and medical malpractice and health care litigation. Ms. Schiesel is a member of the Bars of Maryland and the District of Columbia and is admitted to the U.S. District Courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Ms. Schiesel graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Emory University in 1998, where she majored in Art History. In 2002, she received her Juris Doctor from University of Maryland School of Law. Following graduation, Ms. Schiesel clerked for the Honorable Diane O. Leasure in the Circuit Court for Howard County, Maryland and also clerked for the Honorable Alexander Williams, Jr. in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. Ms. Schiesel joined Gleason, Flynn, Emig & McAfee, Chartered in 2004 and was promoted to Member in 2017.

While Erin Schiesel has experience in all areas of pre-trial litigation, her passion lies with legal writing, including pre-trial motions and appellate briefs. Ms. Schiesel particularly enjoys performing legal research to assist her clients, from mental health care providers to local business leaders. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters.
